The Central West End Halloween Parade Oct 29

Our last Halloween activity happened two days before Halloween -a parade in the CWE.  Hux was in a bit of a cranky mood until the end-when he actually went up on a huge giant stage (after waiting in line with Momma for about 15 minutes watching all the other kids take turns before him).  He strutted his Transformer self proudly- and then happily went home.

The first to be purchased costume (thanks Nana Cindy for the Transformer's costume purchased in late September), was the last to be worn at a Halloween themed event-but a great look!

This is not his black spiderman costume, simply his black spiderman Jammies (he has two sets) that Momma bought for him at a garage sale back in June. We are gearing up for the event clearly by drinking our milk!

Look Transformer Hux and SHREK! (Thanks Daddy for buying me the special Transformer's mask even before Nana sent the costume so I could have a great mask to wear that fits really well!).

Look how fast the mask came off as Hux got tired of wearing it :).  But he was happy to see Woody (but alas no Buzz).

Happy Daddy and Grumpy Hux!
Chad has a video from his phone I'll try and post of Hux strutting his stuff on the "catwalk."  Until then-this is all we got before the parade started.  Keep in mind Hux refused to actually walk the parade-content to stroll so there were no other action shots to take!

The Magic House-Spiderman Style! Oct 24, 2011

Hux loves to be spiderman-by day -in many different forms (he just acquired a black 'evil' Spiderman costume on Sunday so I think we're set until he turns about 6).

The Magic House had a special Monday party so Hux got to do all his favorit Magic House activities-as Spiderman!  Because Spiderman loves to cook huge slabs of meat over an open fire a la Lewis and Clark!

I like the twin Spidermans working on the car...

Hey and Spiderman catches a mean fish!

He climbs ropes, even when he doesn't spin them himself.

He discovers little mouse holes-decorated for Halloween no less!

He can drive a bus!

He can climb a ladder!

We even discovered a new place where you dance and the crazy projector makes you into awesome shadows...this picture doesn't do it justice (it's a dark room)...great Halloween music being played though!

Spiderman also makes awesome bubbles!

Spiderman can catch a heck of a lot of fish and bang on some tin cans!

Another new discovery-a room that it built like "Goodnight Moon" where you can pull a circle to make the moon rise and fall (see far left of picture) and another to make Grandma rock back and forth!

No pictures of the yummy donuts and milk and little top and google-eyed sticker we got as "treats" on this special day but we definitely had a good time!

First two Halloween parties for 2011

Hux has a Transformer's costume, a Spiderman costume and a Green Lantern costume.  Check out the parties so far.

At the Hip Mama's party-Hux was psyched to be Spiderman and "scare all the kids."  He didn't actually scare anyone but had a good time at the "Rocketship" -aka Sit-n-spin for bigger kids...

Dad was really excited about Hux's Green Lantern costume!

Mommy was feeling a bit "witchy"

At the WUMCHA party they had a balloon lady.  Hux has been quite scared of balloons after several popped, but he saw another boy with this one, and well, we know he likes baseball so here is his Cardinals' themed hat with bat.

They also had a face-painting lady.  As soon as we got in line, Hux said he wanted to be a tiger.  Then he told the lady he wanted to be a black tiger, but luckily acquiesced to an orange tiger.

He's "roaring!"

Fun times, despite the rain October 18th and 19th

It was rainy in St. Louis so on Tuesday we went to the Science Museum, but then Wednesday, we braved the rain for the Zoo.

The wind tunnel-look, Hux is a scientist!

The T-Rex was moving-Hux was fascinated!

He didn't quite understand that the T-rex had "bitten" the Triceratops and that's why the the Triceratops was lying down...
This amazing "Mousetrap for grownups" has balls going everywhere-wow!
Hux also ready to be an astronaut (he is from Ohio after all!),

Hux also can be an oceanographer when he grows up...

...or be a stay-at-home Dad-love that papoose!

Hux definitely wanted to be pictured as a spider--he loves Halloween!

Hux loved the baby goats.
We saw the tiger on the train!

Once we went inside the children's zoo inside area, Hux was surrounded by 3 lovely volunteers who brought out a large tortoise for Hux to pet.  It promptly peed all over the floor-freaked us out a little (luckily I pulled him away in time) -but he kept telling Daddy all night.  The small screech owl also pooped on the volunteer's glove-we couldn't stop talking about that either :).

Pumpkin Patch October 11, 2011

Hux's "Gigi" was in town so we went to a Pumpkin Patch - we had a great time!
